Bought these because of some Achilles issues, as Danskos were recommended by my doc for the heel lift. Very comfortable to wear right out of the box. I’m also wearing a Breg brand fracture boot and these shoes are the exact same height as the boot so I’m not walking lopsided which has been a great thing. I wear a size 39 Birkenstock and had to size up to a 40 in Dansko.I wear 9.5s and these fit perfectly. They scuffed easily until I got some good polish on them and now it is longer between cleaning and polishing. I've had 1 pair about 4 months and they are showing no signs of wear, but have conformed to my feet. I jusy ordered a second pair feeling that the price tag is worth it since I hardly wear anything else to work (in an office setting). When it is colder (and to break them in) I just put on a pair of sock nylons and stay comfy indoors. They've been just great, would recommend the expense as I'm seriously going to get rid of my variety of cheaper shoes and rely on these and some nice boots to complete all outfits.I love the style of these shoes, but my foot slips and slides all over the pace when I first put them on. Once the sole warms up, my feet no longer slip and slide, but end up sticking to the sole, often cramming my toes to the front of the shoe to the point that I have to stop in mid walk and readjust my feet in them. If I know that I have to do any amount of significant walking, I do not wear these. To be clear, I have worn clogs my entire adult life - so it’s not just being unfamiliar with how they should fit. Also, some of the stitching is showing and I’ve only had them for 2 months and have only worn them to the office a couple of times a week.I would not purchase these again. So I'm a long-time Dansko wearer. Started on my first pair after plantar fasciitis surgery. I love the comfort; there is no other shoe I've tried with or without my prescription custom orthotics that matches the arch support of the Dansko Professional clog. That being said, Dansko has many other styles/collections with varying support. The only reason these Britneys got 4 -vs- 5 stars is that: the arch support is moderate, and not at all along the line of the professional clogs. So if that is what you need or are looking for, I don't recommend these for you. For my use, at work, we are required to wear closed toe shoes, so these are about as close as I can come to a sandal. I got the stone waxy burnished and was at first not very happy that the toe area was a bit darker in shade than the rest of the shoe. But as I did my research, came to find that is kind of a hallmark of a "burnished" finish. Now that I'm wearing them, the color difference isn't as obvious. I had originally fallen in love with the beige ones in nubuck, but couldn't afford the full price so I settled for these because they were $50+ bucks cheaper! And I'm really glad I did. The suede finish would not have been easy to clean like these are. These shoes do seem to change in color depending on the light and what you pair them with (see pics). I would say they are a light taupe, and are an obvious summer-type of color. I consistently wear a 38, and these are totally true to size. They are comfortable, and the rigid clog platform-like sole provides enough support for at least the moderate walking I do at work. The buckle is functional, and I really liked that I could tighten the strap (wish buckle was silver, though...). The foot bed is soft and nicely padded, but I really wish Dansko would not put in such a light colored insole. As nice as it looks, it's going to get dirty and eventually black after years of wear, and it's not so easy to clean. I do recommend these, they are a little more grown up looking than your standard mary jane because of that extra strap, so I don't feel like a 12 year old in mary janes! Recommend these for a casual shoe and again, not for use like you would the Professional clog.Worth the money- they fit, have suppietAs a nurses we are always up and on the go. Shoes have to be closed toed. But on days when I'm not seeing pts in the clinic, I can still wear these cute slides and be protected and cute. Since I have a really high instep/arches I cannot wear the traditional clogs. So these open backs are perfect!very comfortableThese start out extremely stiff and I’m having a very hard time breaking them in (sore spots). When I walk I find that I have to crunch up my toes to keep these from falling off, I actually tripped on them the other day. They look very ergonomic so I hope once I’ve broken them in they will improve.perfect for season changeI really enjoy itLove themVery comfortable!
